Our answer
Put the machine in the room with the laundry on a stable surface, with its intake and outlet unobstructed and no possibility of clothing dripping onto it. Follow the exact manual’s clearance distances. Keep the clothes rack spread out and choose a route for air to move around the fabric.
Start with the manual, not a generic distance
| Exact model | Inspected instruction |
|---|---|
| Meaco Arete Two 10L/12L | Manual permits its designed close-to-wall arrangement; open the louvre and keep the airflow clear. |
| Meaco DD8L Pro | Fit the cable tidy; open the louvre and prevent drips from laundry. |
| EcoAir DD128 / DD1 Simple | Current support manuals specify 40 cm clearance and at least 40 cm from laundry. |
| Pro Breeze OmniDry PB-D-24-WF | Linked manual specifies a minimum 50 cm clearance around all sides. |
These rules are model-specific. A compact body can still need a wide operating area. Check the manual supplied with your particular revision if its instructions differ from the documents we inspected.
Set up the room
- Choose a room where the rack will not obstruct an exit or circulation route.
- Spread items so air can reach both sides. Keep thick fabrics from overlapping.
- Position the machine so its dry outlet air helps circulate around the rack while respecting its clearance.
- Keep cables out of walking routes and away from water. Plug in as the manual instructs.
- Check tank access and drainage before starting a session; do not trap the tank behind the rack.
Doors, windows and ventilation
For a controlled room-drying session, limiting air exchange through open external windows can avoid continuously treating incoming air. Continue required ventilation and extraction. Do not block trickle vents or safety ventilation. Whole-home humidity control is a different arrangement and may need internal doors open; the ventilation guide explains the distinction.
What to change if drying is uneven
Rehang towels and sheets, remove dry garments and create gaps before assuming you need a larger machine. A separate fan may improve circulation, but include its electricity in any cost comparison. Keep it and its cable clear of drips and follow both appliances’ instructions.
