Pro Breeze OmniDry 20L review: a research-based assessment

An app-connected compressor assessed using the exact OmniDry page and currently linked UK manual.

Our answer

The OmniDry 20L may be worth comparing when its price, 4 L tank or body size suits your room. Its quietness and energy claims lack the matched data needed to establish an advantage over the Arete Two. The linked manual’s ban on unattended use is especially relevant for laundry and bedroom plans.

The model and specification evidence

ItemEvidence
IdentityOmniDry smart 20L; page SKU PB-D-24W-B-UK, linked manual PB-D-24-WF. Confirm supplied model.
Tank / dimensions4 L / H495 × W305 × D240 mm.
Airflow / noise claim150 m³/h / 36 dB, without an equivalent protocol to Meaco’s mode table.
PowerManual rated power 330 W. Page “0.27 kWh” has no explicit duration or temperature/RH.
WeightProduct page 12.5 kg; linked manual 13 kg.
Operating range5–32°C on the product page.

What could make it a useful purchase

The 4 L tank and shorter body can be practical if the exact installation clearance fits. App controls and a laundry mode provide a convenient interface. If the delivered price is attractive, it deserves consideration alongside better-documented alternatives rather than being ruled out by brand alone.

What the energy claim does not establish

The page’s “0.27 kWh” cannot be treated as a matched 270 W operating result without an identified duration and test conditions. The manual’s 330 W rated power is a different specification. We did not establish its extraction and measured power at 20°C/60% RH, so we do not assign it a litres/kWh winner.

The important operating restriction

The manufacturer-linked June 2025 v6 manual says never to leave the appliance unattended. It specifies 50 cm clearance around the unit and a floor area larger than 4 m² for this refrigerant model. Check the exact supplied manual and model before buying. A timer, app or low-noise claim does not override its safety instructions.

An electricity scenario, carefully labelled

Six hours at the manual’s 330 W rating would be 1.98 kWh and 52.1p at the dated 26.32p/kWh example. That is an illustrative rated-power calculation, not measured session consumption or a completed laundry-load price. It is not directly equivalent to Meaco’s 207 W condition-specific figure.

What to compare before ordering

  • The exact SKU and its current supplied manual.
  • The installed footprint including 50 cm clearance, not just body dimensions.
  • Current warranty and returns terms.
  • Whether supervised operation fits your routine.
  • Delivered price against the Arete Two 20L and 12L.

Our assessment

A conditional alternative for supervised use, with useful features but material evidence gaps. We prefer the Arete’s published condition table when building an energy-conscious shortlist. This is a researched assessment without our own extraction or acoustic test; the direct comparison explains why it has no invented performance winner.
